Card(s) for Discussion - New Year, New Moon

​Today was an interesting day, at least as far as my attempts to draw a card for discussion were concerned.  I decided to ask for the guidance that I should post specific to the New Year and the energy of the new moon.  I wanted a fairly general card that might have advice for everyone, but I continuously drew Court Cards and Major Arcana cards that I felt were representing people rather than concepts.  I first drew the Knight of Pentacles, then the Queen of Pentacles, then the King of Swords, then the Queen of Swords.  I thought that the cards were trying to speak of my own personal situations, so I gathered them up and shuffled them very well, again asking for general guidance for all.  Next, I drew the Emperor, then the King of Swords, then the Magician.  So now I was getting a little frustrated and shuffled well again and concentrated as hard as I could, asking PLEASE for GENERAL guidance.  Finally, I drew the Queen of Swords (again) and then the Star and the Strength card.  So I finally got it.  I should really know better than to try and tell the cards what they should tell me!  Without fail, they will always repeat the message in different ways until I accept it or just give up.  I realized that the message I am supposed to discuss today is that the new energy coming to us this year will be extremely empowering to us all as individuals.  New opportunities to manifest the things that we want for ourselves and our planet will present themselves.  We must work collectively to make good decisions for ourselves and others in order to claim our own power and move forward decisively.  Men will evolve in their ability to expose the more loving side of their nature.  They should work on utilizing everything that they already have in their possession in order to work magic in their lives.  By recognizing that they already possess everything that they want (especially in the area of love) they are freed from the stress of constantly searching for the “perfect” people and situations outside of themselves.  The truth is that it lies within.  Conversely, women should be focused on thinking clearly and having the confidence to make their own decisions and claim their own majestic power as equals to men.  By thinking optimistically and realizing that they are connected and part of the Universal One, women should be able to draw on their true inner strength and help equalize the male and female energy which has been out of balance for so long.  This is a more in depth “Card for Discussion” reading than I had been intending to do, but I get what I get and I say what I feel compelled to say in hopes that it helps someone out there somehow.  I wish everyone well in the new year and send you many blessings!  Stay strong!  Ember
