The Devil card, a message for change

​The Devil card is one of those that unfortunately tends to scare people when it comes up in a reading. It is good to remember that the cards are far more SYMBOLIC than they are LITERAL, as is certainly the case with this one. There are many ways to interpret this card, but today this is the one that speaks to me. The Devil represents materialism at it's very worst. He asks you to give up your morals, your character, and your common sense in order to pad your bank account or enjoy material pleasures over spiritual beliefs. He asks you to put yourself before others and all highest good. It would seem that far too many people are buying his sales pitch lately. If you have taken his bait, then this card suggests that you are choosing ego over love. It could be time to ask yourself what price you might be asked to pay and if it is something that is really worth sacrificing your entire value system for. The good news is that it is never too late to reevaluate and choose a new direction or course of action. The Higher Divine always waits with open arms. Blessings to you!
